A member of staff thought it would be hilarious to alter some customer details on the company CRM system. The customer in question subsequently received an invoice for £18,450 +vat, addressed to a, “Mr Moody c*nt with a ridiculous name.” Is there any course of action to take besides sacking the mindless fool which is quite frankly all he deserves?
£18,45 0 is not a huge amount of money, so you need to be measured in how you respond to such frivolity. Clearly, altering the CRM system details for no reason other than high office hi jinks is extremely unprofessional, but if the offending employee is remorseful you can maybe take a lenient view. Having said that it must be made very clear that………………(Is that meant to say £18,450???) WTF!! Call the client straight away and apologise profusely – then sack the f*cking idiot at once – FUCK HR!!!!
