|Description of Need:|
|Whilst I am fully aware that the petty cash limit is £60, I feel an exception must be made on this occasion.
I consider myself to be an approachable boss that often engages the staff in banter by playing practical jokes on them. Last week for example, I covered the bottom of my secretary’s mouse with a post-it note so it wouldn’t work for most of the morning. This April Fool’s day however, the team thought it would be hilarious to move my desk outside into the car park (see picture).
Unbeknown to them, I had invited some of our shareholders in to have a look around at how we were implementing some of the company’s new strategic initiatives, only to find that my office had been completely emptied of all my possessions.
Upon seeing my desk outside in the car park, one of the shareholders questioned my ability to manage the team properly if staff find it appropriate to play practical jokes on me.
As I can’t sack the entire workforce due to petty employment legislation, I can safely say that I refuse to work in the same building as any of them ever again. Hence, the reason why I am making this request for a new mobile office to be placed in the car park so they’ll all have to go outside to have meetings with me in the middle of winter.
Needless to say, I will also be placing seats outside the door so that they have to wait in the freezing cold until I’m ready to see them.
