Dear Dave,

You attended a disciplinary hearing on 28th November and I am writing to inform you of your final written warning.

This warning will be placed in your personal file but will be disregarded for disciplinary purposes after a period of 6 months, provided your conduct improves.

  1. a) The nature of the unsatisfactory conduct or performance was:
    Using company property, namely several cubic feet of tarmacadam to settle a dispute with your ex-partner’s new boyfriend whose vehicle you spotted whilst delivering supplies to the depot.
  2. b) The conduct or performance improvement expected is:
    To settle your romantic disputes in a more mature way and preferably one that doesn’t involve criminal damage, theft of company property and at least 12 violations of the Health and safety act.
  3. c) The timescale within which the improvement is required is:
    Straight away please Dave, or you’ll never be allowed on delivery duty again
  4. d) The likely consequence of further misconduct or insufficient improvement is:
    Dismissal and more likely than not a few months in prison. It’s only because your ex-partner’s boyfriend, upon spotting your fine work, then tried to steal the dump truck you were driving that the police decided to take a lenient view of the situation with regard to your conduct.

You have the right of appeal against this decision to within 5 days of receiving this disciplinary decision.
