Section B – Employee’s aspirations
Describe employee’s career aspirations, noting relevant details about interests, mobility, previous experience, etc.
Tiddles has performed diligently well in his role as the office’s stray cat – mainly because he’s a stray cat that hangs around our office every day. It was suggested to him however, that as well as being stroked and catching the odd mouse, Tiddles would need to do more to earn his bowl of milk and Felix Adult Cat Food Pouches every day.
Section C – Job experience
Does the employee display abilities which may make him/her a suitable candidate for a job in the same grade but in a different discipline?
No If ‘yes’, list job(s) identified:
It had been suggested that instead of unblocking the toilets, Tiddles could also maybe wash the dishes in the canteen or perhaps be in charge of emptying waste paper baskets and replenishing paper in the photocopier, however he showed such a natural ability with a plunger we felt office janitor would be the best deployment for him.
Section D – Training
Would further training or other development action be appropriate?
Yes/No If ‘yes’, list job(s) identified:
Most definitely – yes. If Tiddles uses his feline talents and climbs onto the cistern with a pair of marigolds on to scrub behind the bowl, we could place him on a different salary grade and he could even be deployed to other locations.
